I was on my way to a women’s day event in Estes Park, CO when, somewhere along the drive, my brain started connecting the dots between living an intentional life and setting our 2027 goals. I had my GPS on. To a place I’ve been to 100s of times. Interesting! Why DO we use our GPS when we already know the way? Honestly, I only needed it for the last few miles, to make sure I knew exactly where to go once inside the resort area. (The planner in me likes knowing EXACTLY where I’m going....

It’s summer and we’re in full ‘home improvement’ project mode. There were a few things we wanted to accomplish this summer – fix the back deck with a railing (so no one falls off), and epoxy the garage floor (better look and safer when it gets wet, etc.), plus a few other assorted projects along the way. It looked great on paper… and simple. Oh, we’ll just fix ‘this’ because it’s going to make our lives easier, the garage will be more usable/organized – a better system to store the vehicles...

Our daughter-in-law, Miho, is 1st generation Japanese. We had one of those lightbulb moments back in February to have her parents come to our house/Colorado for their recent US visit. It was incredible. In 10 days we gave them a true ‘western’ experience including fishing, gun range shooting, visiting Rocky Mountain National Park for 3 days (seeing elk, deer, other critters), and so many more experiences! We connected over amazing home-cooked Japanese food by Miho’s mom, played games, took...
